Kirk Franklin personally introduces this album on track one as "a collection of songs from the last 10 years that have been my testimony to the beautiful struggle of necessary storms in my life." From there, gospel winds and rains let loose, never straying far from gentle, jazz piano under powerful freestyle vocals and unified choral swells. Most notable is the inclusion of "When You Fall," a song from a 2000 release by a group called 1NC. A flawless and unique creation, it was sadly the group's only album to date. Perhaps this spotlight will rectify that gaffe.
