Holland isn't the first place that comes to mind when looking for sexy cool funk, but it will be after this superb debut from Dutchmen Mark Kneppers, Oscar De Jong and Wim Plug. It's chock-full of winners, from the fat horns and Mambo Kings drums on "One Of These Days" to the Hammond organ cool of "Dance Macabre" and the Dave Brubeck Quartet drum style of "5 to 4." Anyone with any affection for a good beat and a smooth vibe will want to listen to this.
