Latin Soul simply refers to artists whose music infuses Latin American dance rhythms with elements of American Soul music. Examples range from the New York outfit Pucho & his Latin Soul Brothers, who combine gritty, down-home Soul Jazz with Salsa, to Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Hermeto Pascoal, whose music seamlessly fuses Afro-Brazilian rhythms with Funk beats and jazzy, textured Fusion improvisations."
