Leaders of the New School

About

Coming out of New York in the early 1990s, L.O.N.S. possessed an infectious combo of humor, honesty, and funkiness akin to their Native Tongue counterparts Black Sheep and De La Soul. With Busta Rhymes, Charlie Brown, Dinco D, and Cut Monitor Milo among their ranks, this spirited crew first flipped wigs with their 1991 debut A Future Without A Past, which featured the hits "Sobb Story" and "Case Of The PTA." That same year, they appeared on ATCQ's crowd favorite posse cut "Scenario." L.O.N.S. returned two years later with T.I.M.E., after which they parted ways. Busta Rhymes has since gone on to lead an extremely successful solo career, churning out platinum records and cameo verses at an alarming rate.
