Rhapsody

McCann excelled at playing in a tasty, always soulful jazz piano style, but he wasn't a groundbreaking stylist. That doesn't mean he didn't bust things completely wide open -- the reverberations from this electronic jazz album are still being felt today. McCann overdubs ARP synth and keyboard lines into a busy, bizarrely funky sonic landscape.
