Lloyd Cole

Cole's previous two albums veered between the guy-noodling-on-a-laptop approach of Music In A Foreign Language and the indie pop supergroup stylings of The Negatives. Antidepressant finds a happy medium between the two. Recorded mostly solo in his home studio, Cole's introspective pop songs are very plugged in. He muses about medication, "Young Idealists," New York City life, Scarlett Johansson and other assorted topics that swirl around the brain of this exiled-from-popularity singer/songwriter. This is the 2006 version of Cole's quixotic 1991 release, Don't Get Weird On Me Babe.
