Sometimes you want to hear cumbia without all the hip-hop, rock and attitude -- and that's just what Los Vallenatos deliver. But this isn't boring stuff; thanks to decent piano backing and an excellent vocalist, the album swings from start to finish with unvarnished enthusiasm. "Dejela" and "Bailando Colombiano" are good enough that you'll forgive the forays into balladry.
