Luther Allison

Alison goes bananas halfway through the first cut, "Luther's Blues," coaxing dog-beckoning pitches from his guitar. At one point the guitar starts to talk back to him. Modern blues can be too precise and shiny at times, but Alison's blues are never less than powerful, and more than a little weird if you listen close to what he and his guitar are saying.
