O'Connell got her start in Celtic Folk band De Dannon, but upon moving to Nashville she began exploring Bluegrass and country avenues in her own characteristically untraditional way. Her voice is a study in gentle restraint, while her career's a study in the public's typical under-valuation of country music's true talents.
