Sub-underground figure MC Trachiotomy uses Neil Hamburger-style anti-humor, intentionally crappy recording techniques and the Drum Buddy (an electronic percussion instrument invented by fellow New Orleans weirdo Mr. Quintron) to turn hip-hop inside out. Trachiotomy (nee Pavlo J Poggi) first emerged in 1999 with Robot Alien or Ghost; ...W/Love from Tahiti followed in 2002. Trachiotomy then disappeared for several years, reportedly touring the world and picking up musical cues from as far afield as Greece, Australia, the Caribbean and South America. In 2006, Rowdy Life, the first in an intended three-part album cycle, appeared.
