It's appropriate that the final installment of this 30-year trilogy begins with a track called "The Monster Is Loose." The nu-metal gloss denies said opener the unrelenting pummel of the first Bat, but as the 'Loaf howls, "I'm angry! I'm raging!" he sounds ready to slay any beast that should cross his path. Though longtime writer/producer Jim Steinman played no part in No. 3 (lawsuit), Loaf fills the void with big-haired hunks like Brian May and Nikki Sixx. Arias such as "Blind as a Bat" and "Bad for Good" end the trilogy with frenzied exclamation points.
