Mel Torme

This CD collects radio sessions that Torme did with small jazz combos. The first few tracks come from 1947 and feature the teen idol with guitarist Dave Barbour's group. Most tracks are from the late '50s, with Torme (now more of an indie jazz figure) being backed by pianists Jimmy Rowles, Bill Miller and Buddy Cole. Relaxed jazz balladeering at its best.
