Metric's 2005 offering helps to solidify the idea that Canadians are among the few people making decent indie rock anymore. This vibrant four-piece puts forth track after track of material with post-punk sparseness, but also with an economy that brings to mind both '50s vocal pop and '70s punk nihilism. Immeasurably cool.
