Miklos Rozsa

By the '50s, Rozsa was an established film composer who was so well respected by the classical community that the esteemed violinist Jascha Heifetz commissioned this 1953 concerto. Like most of Rozsa's work, the music is in a contemporary neo-romantic style, dramatic but not melodramatic. An ailing Rozsa assisted with the production of these James Sedares recordings.
