Milk 'n' Cookies

Power pop and glam rock go together like chocolate and peanut butter or...milk and cookies. The aptly titled Milk 'n' Cookies' eponymous 1977 album blends the two great tastes together as one. "Tinkertoy Tomorrow" bubbles with the kind of gum-chewing pop that plays like the background of an after-school special. Singer Justin Strauss' voice can sound fey at times, which makes the lyrics to "Not Enough Girls in the World" a bit unconvincing, but every song here is sweeter than Willy Wonka's blood. Each cut is loaded with super-sticky melodies and chiming guitars.
