The record that contains the song that would go on to spawn a thousand prom anthems and an assortment of re-recordings ("Melt With You 1999," anyone?) is actually pretty strong. It's a melancholy post-punk album with lots of chiming guitars and interesting changes (hear the title cut for proof).
