Nejo & Dalmata

These guys are underground favorites on the reggaeton scene, which is no surprise given Nejo's cooler-than-thou flow and Dalmata's relatively tuneful singing -- a welcome change from a reggaeton star. The other secret of their success lies in distancing themselves from the limitations of the reggaeton beat: "Mi Dia De Suerte" makes a stab at dance rock, and "No Es Lo Mismo" features both funk beats and fellow renegade reggaetoneros Tego Calderon and Voltio. A welcome departure from the already tired formula, this release includes a few older hits by the duo, including "Sexo En La Playa."
