Description of Solo Instrumental

Solo Instrumental refers to any New Age artist performing solo, without vocal accompaniment. This style encompasses everything from traditional instruments such as harp or bouzouki to synthesizers and other electronic instruments. It focuses more on technical prowess, although it incorporates any and all elements from New Age music in general. This sound is typified by artists like William Ackerman, Liz Story and Michael Hedges.
