After the Gram Parsons pissed off everyone at the Grand Ole Opry, it became more difficult for country rockers to be taken seriously by the Nashvegas heads until the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band proved their professionalism and love for country music. Almost 40 years together as a band, and they still play that timeless twang.
