As this features everybody from Eyehategod -- except for Jimmy Bower, who left to play drums for Down -- Dragging Down the Enforcer can be seen as a new album from that legendary band. All the swamp metal and heavy blues fans could want are here. The only difference is in a definitely cleaner sound; Mike Williams' vocals, while as ferocious as ever, are not pushed right on top of your face the way they used to be. Still, Brian Patton is playing guitar, and that means unmatched riffology. We're just going to ignore the fact that some of the songs actually have guitar solos.
