Oval

This was Oval's second record but it might as well have been their first -- it's on this 1994 album that Markus Popp made the music he's most known for. Taking manually manipulated (read: scratched) CDs, playing them back, and stitching together the random glitch-riddled patterns with warm and very slight melodies, this album made it seem like, yes, robots can cry.
