Paul beefed up Wings and needed a stadium rock album to tour with. He almost recorded one here, though the rockers and mellow blues chooga-loogers are generally inoffensive and forgettable (even some of the goofy throw-aways like "You Gave Me the Answer" are missing the old off-the-cuff Macca charm). It's not a blood bath though, as the fantastic No. 1 hit single "Listen to What the Man Says," the Beatles-y "Call Me Back Again," and the goofy X-Men fantasy "Magneto And Titanium Man" all help save the day. New Orleans piano legend Alan Toussaint guests, and is featured heavily on the bonus cuts (which beat out many of the "proper" AOR album numbers).
