Pela

Pela is an indie rock four-piece who got together because the members all lived on the same street in Brooklyn, N.Y. Their debut album, Anytown Graffiti, is heavily rooted in the Pixies' wistful melodies but with an earnestness that is all their own. Rhapsody spoke with singer/guitarist Billy McCarthy and drummer Tomislav Zovich before a show and grilled them about their choice in New York pizza, their very worst jobs and forced them to describe themselves in three words.
