Ska/reggae/punk band Pepper shows up with a major label debut, picking up the spare left by Sublime, 311 and Jack Johnson. Hailing from Kona, Hawaii, these guys have the pedigrees for serving up chilled out jammers with just enough bite -- kinda like those Mai Tais everyone drinks in the Aloha State. No Doubt's Tony Kanal and 311's Nick Hexum step in as producers, ensuring that each track bristles with gooey dub basslines, offbeat guitar skank and vocalist Kaleo Wassman's nimble ululations.
