Pig Destroyer's first three releases (
Split with Orchid,
Explosions in Ward 6 and
Demo (from 1997, 1997 and 1998, respectively) are jammed together in one spot for you to listen to while going insane, or maybe while writing letters to your mom. Whatever the choice, the early cuts here stay close to the rules of grindcore, and the band's trademark deathgrind tempo-spraying emerges as the collection proceeds. While some of the recordings don't have quite the same crunch as Pig Destroyer's later acts of barbarism, that crunch is replaced by a major "crush." This all changes with "Pixie."
