San Francisco/Los Angeles-based schizoid unit bearing the mark of the beast and body suits -- one pink, one brown. P&B deliver an elastic sonic attack that has pawn shop crudity and close ties to the skree-skronk of mid-1990s Providence, especially Lightning Bolt and, err, Arab On Radar. The best way to experience this band is live, with guitar player Pink playing guitar and/or stepping on your face, and drummer Brown having a seizure behind his kit. Their recordings do manage to capture some measure of the freakbeat extension of ideas first implemented when music started getting weird enough to allow bands such as Pere Ubu and Church Police into their midst.
