What is bootgazing? It's a really stupid way to describe dream pop mixed with hints of country music. Nobody can really pinpoint when shoegazing first happened, but we'd like to suggest that bootgazing may have begun in the '60s when Neil Young's "Expecting To Fly" mixed dreamy pop with country tinged instrumentation. Here is a mix that explores various artists who dared to blend blissed out pop with twangy guitars and no, Mazzy Star didn't invent the sound.
