Author's Comments
Paul Desmond was urbane, witty, and always played beautifully. Chet Baker was a streetwise screw-up who played well when not overly medicated. These two may've been polar opposites but they loved recording together. Sadly, they only got the chance to do so on three famed 1970s sessions, when Desmond was dying of cancer.
