Prince

The soundboard recording sounds a little thin and the vocals are turned down too low. Also, there is little crowd noise mixed in, making this live album from a 2003 concert sound displaced and kind of dull. But Prince is in top form. His voice is full and his guitar playing is predictably great. The backing band, meanwhile, matches his funk note-for-note. The set begins with a trio of hits from his 1980s peak years, before settling into later-period material. It's a testament to the depth of Prince's catalog that he covers nearly every era, and yet the set list still feels incomplete.
