Rhapsody

Ray Charles was thought of as an earthy R&B artist. Milt Jackson was in the cerebral jazz chamber group The MJQ. Together, they created earthy, cerebral jazz that simmers with blues and soul. Ray plays a little alto sax and keyboards along with his customary piano but it's Jackson who stands out here -- he remains the greatest vibes soloist of all time.
