This collects Ray's revolutionary hit singles which altered the landscape of R&B, jazz, and early rock and were just about to crossover into the general pop market (aka, white America). On the title track, Ray tips his hat to the big band innovator Sy Oliver (who mixed sacred gospel with "profane" jump blues in the swing era).
