It's hard to believe that none of the boys in Reik were over the age of 20 when they started the group -- at the behest of producer/Svengali Abelardo Vasquez Ramos -- in 2003. Singer Jesus Alberto Navarro Rosas sings like a Backstreet Boy who relocated to Mexico and became interested in roots music, and his delivery is so mature you'd swear the guy had at least 10 years in the music industry. Guitarist Julio Ramirez Eguia provides sensitive color to each track, while the group expanded its sound even further when they added Gilberto Marin Espinoza in 2004 to become a trio. They released their self-titled debut in 2005, spawning the hit "Yo Quisiera."
