Rick Springfield

In the early '70s The Brady Bunch morphed into The Brady Kids cartoon. Following its success, the show's animators gave a similar cartoon called Mission Magic to a young Rick Springfield who recorded a song for each episode. Kitsch value aside, this killer collection of bubblegum and power pop songs from the cartoon series totally rules, especially if you happen to dig early Dwight Twilley, the Bay City Rollers, Big Star, Badfinger and the Raspberries. Check the sweet double guitar leads on the opening cut "We're Gonna Have a Good Time" as well as the triumphant theme song.
