Robert Tree Cody

About

Robert Tree Cody, of Salt River Pima and Dakota heritage, is a tireless ambassador for Native American music and culture, lecturing and performing at reservations in Canada and the U.S. and throughout the Americas. He also happens to be a well-known Native American flautist and a fixture on the pow-wow circuit. Cody's received accolades for his solo and collaborative work. In 2000 he released a well-reviewed album with Huichol musician Xavier Quijas Yxayotl called Crossroads, Music of Indigenous North America; 2001 saw him experimenting with flamenco on Native Flamenco.
