Roni Size fully abandons the jazz inflections of his pioneering, cerebral debut, New Forms, for a full-on party fuelled by frenetic drum and bass, UK garage, R&B and hip-hop. The aggressive opener leaves no doubt as to this album's intentions: "Tonight it's party time…And we gonna get nasty." For respite from the manic BPMs, head to "Time" and "Problems."

First the good news from this drum-and-bass hero: Size's crisp high-hats and larger-than-life
bass tones are just what his hard-core followers crave. The bad news? His followers now
number about twelve. This album could easily have been released in the mid-Nineties,
when Size and his V Records crew pointed the way forward. Ten years later, it is just a
skittery nostalgia trip.
