On his first album in five years, Chicago house veteran Roy Davis, Jr., stays versatile, dipping into loping electronic funk ("Love Is," featuring L.A. rapper Khalid, and "Space Music") and fleshing out tribal-house grooves with lush touches of R&B. Chicago acid and Latin-tinged spiritual house provide the album's stylistic outlines, but Davis' melodic edge gives the record unexpected pop potential -- especially on the single "I Have a Vision," featuring Erin Martin. Lithe and flush with pumping synths, the track recalls Carl Craig in full crowd-pleasing mode.
