Rhapsody

The cover is misleading. Sally Shapiro's not a person, but a project (unidentified female singer and producer Johan Agebjorn), a classic Swedish pop confection dressed up in the anonymity of the techno/house world. Dance and pop inspirations drive Remix Romance, Vol. 1, a set of tracks perfect for clubs, first dates and bubblegum orgies. The sugar is poured on in equal measure by nu-disco heavy-hitters (Lindstrom, Juan MacLean), indie synth-pop stylists (Junior Boys, Holy F*ck) and heretofore unknown bedroom producers. Acquiring cavities has rarely been this fun.
