Say Hi To Your Mom

Hard to be more indie -- in both sound and business savvy -- than Say Hi to Your Mom. The band boils down to Eric Elbogen, a bearded Brooklynite who writes, arranges, records and produces all of SHtYM's music. He even releases it on his own label, Euphonia Records. Sonically as well, Say Hi is quintessential guy-with-a-guitar-and-sequencer indie pop-rock, but the songwriting is catchy, quirky and intriguing, and Elbogen is frequently joined here by his touring rhythm section. Impeccable Blahs, he says, is about vampires and treads a line between cozy and sinister.
