Dan Lee's Asian-American indie pop band has morphed into something very different from its early days as a boy/girl duo. The sounds emanating from this LP range from Brit rock jangles to sampled subway ambience and even string section arpeggios. Meanwhile, the band handles subjects as diverse as wistful romance and race relations with equal aplomb.
