Uwe Schmidt continues his hijinks as Senor Coconut, a promiscuous interpreter of pop songs played as if they were bizarro-world standards, in styles like
cumbia and cha-cha-cha. The likes of Daft Punk, Eurythmics and Laid Back ("White Horse") provide the source material, and the easygoing, slightly goofy re-interpretations are perfect for a cocktail party soundtrack that's slightly tongue-in-cheek. Coconut even digs into his own closet to revisit "La Vida Es Llena De Cables," an aciton -- acid house plus reggaeton -- track released by Los Samplers, yet another of Schmidt's many alter egos.
