Senses Fail

Still Searching combines the heavy sonics of emo with unprecedented lyrical soul-searching. Such heart-on-sleeve self-revelation could easily come off as indulgent and misdirected if it weren't for a phalanx of killer choruses, fat guitars that sound better the louder you turn them up and undeniable technical ability on the part of the band. They even throw in harmonized leads a la Triumph at one point. If any band is going to rise above the sea of sameness that marks too much modern emo, it could be these guys.
