Senor Flavio

You might think an album revisiting Los Fabulosos Cadillacs' style but purporting to be futuristic (2012?) would be anachronistic. It's not. Rather, it's a sunny-but-slanted expansion on their ska/punk/rockabilly/Latin sound, and a testament to Senor Flavio as one of its key architects. It's also a needed reminder that rock music can be joyful and playful, an air-splits kick in the face to the po-faced rockers moping about contemporary stages. Check the doo-wop of "La Herida," the driving "Malito" and "De Story Of De Loko-Univers-Love."
