This is either Skillet's seventh new release or the soundtrack to a summer blockbuster. Opening duo "Rebirthing" and "The Last Night" are equally over the top in orchestral rock and hard-sung lyrics, plunging radically from there into alternative folk ballad "Yours to Hold," which is gorgeously intimate, and a shocking choice of material for this group. With brilliant rock arrangements and big, big ballads, Comatose is their biggest and best offering yet.
