Best known as the sexy, silky voice behind late-'90s trip-hoppers Morcheeba, Skye Edwards releases her first LP of solo material -- under her first name only -- entitled Mind How You Go. While Skye's voice still retains the purr and swoon of her early work, the music forgoes the smart-pop artistry and slick, nimble electro-funk vibe that made Morcheeba so memorable and instead settles into warm, low-key balladry. These songs may not stick with you the way Morcheeba's did, but they feel really cozy as they come and go.
