There's no confusing what a band's tripped-out goals are when they have album titles like Taking Drugs to Make Music to Take Drugs To. Need they be any more honest in their intentions? Spacemen 3's ultra-sleepy-eyed, quaalude-ridden, narcotic guitar drones are the equivalent of aural acid: hallucinatory trips guided by an endlessly buzzing, fuzzy guitar as it sounds when heard in a smoky, alcohol-drenched world. It's easy to get lost in these infinitely spatial, far-reaching guitar soundscapes.
