As a trained drummer and a mainstay of London's late 1980s Acid Jazz scene, Spacetime Continuum's Jonah Sharp has a familiarity with live jazz and soul that sets his music apart from most dance music. Galvanized by Acid House and an early '90s relocation to San Francisco, Sharp has been a constant unifying force in electronica, bringing together Techno, House, Experimental and Ambient with his music, his DJing and his label Reflective. A musical polyglot, Sharp's records take in nearly every subgenre of electronic music from Dub to Jungle, and are distinctive in the organic sounds and earthy structures he employs. Whether aimed at the dance floor or the chill-out room, Spacetime records are always funky and musical, always different and always a step ahead.
