You'd think Diplo and Matthew Dear would dominate this set of "Don't You Evah" remixes. Both dancefloor heavies possess the alchemical skills needed when melting indie rock into sexy club jammers. Yet it's Ted Leo and the duo of DJ Amaze and Alan Astor who steal the show. Leo, who shares with Spoon a love for pub rock, retains the song's charm while drowning it in murky dub. As for Amaze and Astor, well, they gnarl the thing into a delicious booty-bass anthem that's better than the original.
