Sum 41 reached No. 1 on the Modern Rock charts in 2001 with "Fat Lip," an inescapably catchy combination of punk guitars and rapping that revealed the band's obvious admiration for the Beastie Boys' first album. But it's the stage-diving anthems and high-test reinventions of Weezer ("We're All to Blame" and "Makes No Difference," to name two) that, while they may have gotten less airplay, point to a compact, spikily exuberant body of work. This compilation collects selected tracks from each of the Canadian pop-punk trio's five albums, with a bonus live version of fan fave "The Hell Song."
