Sunny Sweeney

Our Country Music Editor Eric Shea caught up with Sunny Sweeney in Nashville for the 2007 CMA Fan Fair and the two of them geeked out on old school country music like a couple of record store clerks. In her interview, Sunny admits her obsession with Merle Haggard and what it's like playing rootsy twang in a commercialized country realm. On her debut album she makes Audrey Auld's "Next Big Nothing" her own song, but with a nomination for 2007 New/Emerging Artist by the Americana Music Association, it's pretty obvious that she could very well be the next big something.
