Superchick

Superchick is the popster's pop as in Jump 5 or Hanson, but with the blinking funk of the B-52's. Their sound's curious maturity and realism, possibly a tongue-in-cheek thing, won them broader appeal. Ballads "I Belong to You" and "We All Fall" are moving detours, but radio flicks remain the draw. Their super-singles would come later, but the phenomenon started here.
